On April 25th 2017, The Gene Jackson Trio went in to record at Tedesco Studios, what will be the first Gene Jackson recording as a leader. Gene Jackson is known for his extended collaborations with Herbie Hancock Trio/Quartet as well as Dave Holland among many others. I am very excited on the upcoming release of this session which features 3 originals of mine as well as two originals by our bassist Carlo De Rosa.
2014 was a special year for me, I got to perform back in my hometown and also in my favorite places such as Hong Kong, Medellin, Bucaramanga, Los Angeles, New Mexico, and New York. It was moving to return back to my hometown and record this video at the Lacides Romero Studios, in which I recorded for the first time when I was about 9 years old in the 80’s. The studio is renovated with a beautiful and carefully restored piano, with a warm environment of a house from Bogota. Here is a little excerpt of past and present in my career.
